At an SFPUG meeting and later at CodeCon 2006 in San Francisco, Meredith Patterson presented her "query by example" PostgreSQL extension. This method of querying by approximation is an exciting new tool for searches and for data mining in the future. Possibly more importantly to Meredith, her boyfriend proposed marriage to her at the conclusion of her presentation.
